The objective of the course is:
The understanding of the methods and the importance of proteomic analysis in Life Sciences.
Upon successful completion of the course, the students will be able to:
- Be acquainted with the general principles of handling and analyzing protein samples.
- Understand physical processes occurring in proteins
- Describe methods for the determination of a proteome
- Interpret a chromatogram or graph, for example of a kinetic study.
- Organize a theoretical experiment of proteomic analysis, if given some data
- Be acquainted with literature mining and database searching
