The Psychological and Counseling Support Centre provides psychological and counseling support for the prevention of mental health issues of members of the university community, and in particular of students of first, second and third cycle of study. The Centre is staffed by psychologists and social workersa  and it is based in Komotini but also maintains an office in Alexandroupoli. Its operation is coordinated by a scientific committee consisting of five faculty members specializing in psychiatry, psychology and social work. The personal data collected and processed by the Centre are only those that are necessary in each case for a specific and clearly defined purpose and in accordance with the law.

In this context, the processing that takes place concerns the personal data provided by the clients of the Centre, by completing an application or registering, such as:

  • Identity Data
  • Contact Data
  • Health Data

In cases where consent is required, the Centre follows the procedures stipulated by the law for obtaining it. You retain the right to withdraw consent at any time. Your personal data is collected in accordance with the GDPR and applicable national legislation, either at the beginning of your contact with the Centre or later, and is processed legally based on:

  • Consent, when students come for support.
  • The fulfillment of a duty in the public interest and the execution of a legal obligation.
